Weather, water, coffee, taxis

One page of quick reference. Read once, glance at later.

Weather

Early June: 27–29°C highs, around three rain days for the whole month. Light cotton, sunhats, sunscreen, one warm layer for late evening — the temperature drops sharply after 22:00 in Trastevere alleys.

Dress code

Shoulders and knees covered at Vatican sites and Castel Sant’Angelo — everyone, including the boys. A scarf in the bag for a quick cover-up works at security.

Water

Refill at the nasoni — Rome’s cast-iron drinking fountains. Free, clean, on most street corners. Cover the spout with your thumb and a jet shoots upward to drink from.
